The semiconductor industry is a vital pillar of Taiwan’s economy. As global economic trends shift, the demand for talent in the semiconductor field continues to grow. To address this, the government has actively promoted industry-academia collaboration by establishing national research institutes in leading universities. These institutes bring together industry, government, and academia to jointly cultivate professional talent, helping students transition seamlessly into the workforce.

In the past, academic institutions primarily used manual desktop wire bonders for teaching and research. However, with the rapid advancement of packaging technologies, traditional manual bonders can no longer provide the stability and repeatability needed for consistent bonding results, leading to wasted time and labor.
